What is a certified translation?
For a translation to be authorized it is required that the person who performs the translation to be a certified translator by the Ministry of Justice for the foreign language from which / into whick the translation is made. The translation is authorized by applying on the translation the respective translator’s stamp and signature. The list of certified translators, the translator’s authorization number and the foreign languages which they are authorized for can be found on the website of the Ministry of Justice (www.just.ro).
What is a legalized translation?
For a translation to be legalized it is, first of all, necessary that the translation to be performed by a translator authorized for the respective language by the Ministry of Justice. After the translation is performed, it shall be signed and stamped by the translator who performed it, and then it will be taken to a notarial office for the legalization. By legalization, the notary certifies the quality of certified translator and the signature specimen of the person who made the translation. The legalization of translations is generally required for those documents that are used in relation with the trade registry, the courts, the town hall, the courthouse, the financial administration, embassies, consulates etc. The Smart Consulting Point Translation Office offers legalized translations services and you will not have to go to the notary office. The legalization of translations will not delay the deadline of the translation!
What is the simple translation?
Any speaker of a foreign language can make an „unauthorized” or „simple” translation. That translation can never be used for official purposes. By unauthorized / simple translation, most clients refer, in fact, to a translation that does not need an official signature and stamp. Smart Consulting Point Translation Office works exclusively with authorized translators, therefore all our translations are carried out only by qualified and authorized persons, regardless of the type of text to be translated.
How can I get a certified translation?
Contact section provides our contact data. There are two possibilities: either you come in person at our office and present the documents that need to be translated and the secretariat will provide you all the information you need, or you send an email with the materials that need to be translated in order to receive accurate rate quotes and details, the required time and how your order will be taken.
How long is the authorized translation / certified translation valid?
Authorized translations / certified translations are valid as long as the original documents that formed the basis of the translation are valid. If a document expires on a certain date, the performed translation will also be invalid after that date. For documents issued without a validity term , such as diplomas, civil status documents etc., the translations are also without a validity term. Some documents have a clearly specified validity date; others, although they do not have a validity date specified, it is known, under the law, they do not apply more than a number of months (ex. Criminal records etc.).
How much does a translation at Smart Consulting Point cost?
Smart Consulting Point practices only the standard page of 2000 characters with spaces. The minimum unit pricing is the 2000 characters with spaces. Our prices are competitive and set in order to allow any client to access translation services. Smart Consulting Point Translation Office does not charge additional taxes for emergency authorized translations performed in the basic languages. The motivation for this decision is the fact that we must adapt to the pace of customers and their needs, as well as the technological advances that we benefit from in the century of speed. The prices for the authorized or certified translations depend on: the language from / into which the translation is made, the difficulty of the translation and the volume of material that needs to be translated.
How long does a translation at Smart Consulting Point take?
The required execution time for an authorized translation / certified translation depends on the type of material submitted for translation and also the volume of work that we are facing with at that specific moment. It is in our interest to establish a time of execution as short as possible, in order to keep the steady stream of orders pickup.
How do I pay for the translation?
Payment can be made in cash at our headquarters or by bank, depending on the situation and the amount. The advance is required after the order is taken and it is settled according to the material that needs to be translated. Constant collaborations with companies are subject to a different regime of payment and taking orders. On request, we can send the translation by courier with payment at the recipient. We can also deliver the translations at your headquarters ourselves, but only in Suceava and only for orders exceeding 100 Ron.
Do I have to present the original document?
We can translate based on originals, certified copies, photocopies of private documents or materials, submitted by fax or electronically, with the mandatory specification of the type of document at the end of the translation. If you need a certified translation, the original is required.
Is the notarial legalization needed?
Most official documents submitted for translation must be accompanied by a certification of the signature performed by the notary public because such translations receive recognition from institutions in Romania and the certain date. There are also many situations in which translations are accepted with only the translator’s signature and stamp, this is, however, established by the inner regulations of each institution that the document will be submitted to. You have to remember one thing: the legalization does not certify in any way the content of the translation, but only legalizes the signature applied by the translator. The content and accuracy of the translation are exclusively certified by the authorized translator.
Legalized translations are particularly required for the following documents:
– documents for automobiles: registration certificate, invoice etc;
– study documents: diplomas, certificates, transcripts, analytical programs, etc;
– medical documents: sheets of hospitalization / discharge, certificates, medical records, medical tests, etc;
– identity cards, marriage certificates, death certificates, birth certificates, criminal records, passports, driving licenses, residence permits;
– contracts, articles of incorporation, resolutions of the General Meeting of Shareholders, emigration records, invitations, employment cards;
– documents issued by courts: court orders, decisions, rulings, subpoenas;
– notarial acts: declarations, powers of attorney, notary documents, specimen signatures.
What is an Apostille?
In the most accessible terms, the Apostille is a stamp that certifies the authenticity of an official document and the signatures it contains. The Apostille is required in the countries signatory to the Hague Convention and not in any way certify the content of a document. It is issued exclusively by the Prefecture, the Chamber of Public Notaries or Court (depending on the act) and any other entity that provides services in this regard, which is only in an intermediary position between the document holder / representative and the institution at issue.
I already have a translation. Can the translator only apply his stamp?
The service is called collation and it represents the checking / correcting and signing by an authorized translator of a translation made by a third party. This service is charged at least 50% of the translation fee for each page, if the checking of the translation requires minor modifications. If the translation presented must be adjusted significantly, the price will be the entire one. This service can only be achieved if your translation is already on an electronic device and you have the source text. It is a service that applies only in certain cases and is not valid for the certified translations / authorized translations of official documents.
How do you guarantee confidentiality?
All documents are treated with strict confidentiality. Before we start working, each translator signs with Smart Consulting Point Translation Office a collaboration contract with confidentiality clauses, each collaborator following the rules of professional secrecy and confidentiality of the translated documents.
Do you also take care of the legalization of translations
We welcome your desire to save time and other resources by offering various services related to the translation activities, such as notarization and legalization with Apostille of the Hague Convention.
What are the methods through which you can receive and send documents?
We receive both documents in print and in electronic format (via fax, email, mail, courier etc.). The translations can be sent using almost any modern or classic method, depending on the effectiveness, duration, need and ability to receive of customers. We are willing to send you the translation, both in print and in electronic format.
Traducerea in cauza nu va putea fi niciodata utilizata in scop oficial.
Traduceri legalizate se solicita, in special, pentru urmatoarele documente :
– acte auto: talon auto, factura etc.
– acte de identitate, certificate de casatorie / deces, certificate de nastere, caziere judiciare, carti de identitate, pasapoarte, permise de conducere, permise de rezidenta;
– contracte, acte constitutive, hotarari AGA, dosare de emigrare, invitatii, carti de munca;
– documente emise de instante judecatoresti: hotarari judecatoresti, decizii, sentinte, citatii;
In cazul in care traducerea prezentata trebuie corectata semnificativ, tariful va fi cel integral.
